The Divine Performing Arts Brings Compassion Around the Globe
[PureInsight.org] The performances of Divine Performing Arts are the display of art and artistic boundary to their perfection. The performances help us experience the authentic culture and national integrity of Chinese heritage, and at the same time guide our arts and lives with compassion. The performances are not only rich with an artistic sense of beauty, magnificence, and elegance, but are also a grand display to purify our bodies and souls.
For the past few years, I have been watching the Divine Performing Arts’ performances with great respect dozens of times a year and eagerly anticipating new pieces that the Divine Performing Arts will offer next year. I have found every piece absolutely perfect and stirring, which is a common experience among audiences everywhere. With such perfection, and in only a few short years, the Divine Performing Arts’ magnificent global tour has become increasingly well known and has received praises from people of all walks of life.
Here I list two pieces as examples:
One is called “Monk Jigong Abducts the Bride.” The story goes that Monk Jigong traveled around the country to help and save people. One day, he came to a village and foresaw an imminent catastrophe. Seeing a wedding in the village, he hurriedly told the servant girl about it. But the servant girl laughed at him and drove him away with the help of the other male servants. Hearing the commotion outside, the bride came out and stopped the servants and taught them to treat people with politeness. Then she served Monk Jigong a bowl of food with great respect. Monk Jigong nodded to acknowledge the bride’s good thoughts and had an idea: he snatched the bride and ran. The entire village ran after him, trying to get the bride back. In no time, the cliff over the village had a huge rockslide that crushed the village. It wasn’t until then that the villagers began to understand Monk Jigong’s intentions and all kneeled down in front him and thanked him. Monk Jigong nodded and signaled the villagers with Buddha’s compassion to get up. Then he promptly departed, riding on a cloud and shaking his head. Perhaps he was worried that if people continued to lose their good thoughts, which was represented by the bride, then it would be even more difficult for them to understand omens and be saved.
Another piece was called “Miracle in an Art Exhibit.” A young man with a broken arm came to the Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance Art Exhibit and was deeply touched by the paintings. He wanted to learn Falun Dafa, so he imitated the movements of the exercises. But it was too painful for him to lift his broken arm. A God that had been watching him saw his sincerity and came down to the earth to teach him the movements. The young man was very pleasantly surprised and learned the movements in earnest. Then, without realizing it, his broken arm was miraculously healed. What’s more significant was that he had come to understand the true meaning of life and established a predestined relationship with the Buddha Fa.
This also tells us that a change in one’s thinking can bring about changes in one’s body. There are so many examples in real life where people have regained their health after practicing Falun Dafa. In addition to that, according to reports, many people’s health problems were relieved after watching the Divine Performing Arts’ performances. It is quite accurate to say that the Divine Performing Arts’ performances emanate the power of pure righteousness and compassion, and that is what people are drawn to. This provides us a lesson that only when people have good thoughts can they be blessed!
