When we shared experience with other practitioners in Houston, a western practitioner asked "How can western practitioners do more to clarify the truth to the Chinese?"
Recently, a non-practitioner's forum posted several excellent articles in a row that strongly supported Falun Gong. Among the main points were that Falun Gong contains the essence of Chinese culture and that it is the only real hope of saving the Chinese from the stranglehold of the Chinese Communist Party, which has tried to destroy a glorious five thousand year-old civilization. Although some people thought such a conclusion was debatable, nobody verbally attacked it. This point may serve as an entry to break the erroneous notions of the Chinese.
Though the Chinese Communist Party stifles cultural preservation, it is still strongly influenced by Chinese culture on a deeper level. Our Dafa disciples understand the underlying reason. Every Chinese person, whether overseas or in the mainland, is very proud of his/her cultural origin. One example is that all parents initially teach their children all the famous Tang poems. Chinese people also feel deep regret of the decline of Chinese culture in recent years as a result of the invasion of western cultural values. In fact, the Chinese hope that westerners can appreciate Chinese culture, which can foster improved communication between East and West.
In Houston, initially many people in the Chinese Welcome Group were very rude to Falun Gong practitioners. However, a lot of Chinese were shocked when they saw so many western faces among the practitioners. They were uneasy and didn't know how to face them. It was very interesting to watch many western practitioners talking to the young students in the welcome group. Their interactions seemed very harmonious.
During the Spring Festival this year, FGM TV produced a deeply touching TV program in which Dafa disciples all over the world said "Happy New Year" to our Master. With famous civic and natural scenes of the world as backgrounds, they expressed their appreciation with banners carrying good wishes and voiced sincere greetings. I think anyone's eyes would be filled with tears on seeing it.
We can make a TV program expressing the truth in a similar way. There would be no dialogue, only the non-Chinese Falun Gong practitioners gathered in front of both civic and natural scenes in their own countries, areas and cities and giving sincere greetings to the Chinese. The number of people is unimportant, because the Chinese believe that a single spark can start a prairie fire. The banners can say things like, "Hello, Dear Chinese Friends!," "We Love Chinese Culture!," "Falun Gong Makes Me Want to Visit China!" and "China is Good! Falun Dafa is Good!." These pictures can also be sent to the mainland by various means, including flash. It would be useful to express the truth of Falun Dafa's spreading in the world in a manner closer to what the everyday Chinese can understand.
