On Hardship and Difficulties

A Dafa Practitioner in Mainland China

PureInsight | January 14, 2013

[PureInsight.org] The other day, a couple of fellow practitioners were discussing a truth clarification project. One practitioner proposed his plan and the other practitioner immediately expressed his concerns and said, “That’s impossible, it’s simply too difficult to do.”

Right after I heard the “too difficult” comment, my mind seemed to be filled with wisdom from the power of the Fa and I started to give the following spontaneous speech without even thinking too much:

“Actually, no matter how difficult it might be for us to carry out this plan, it is still not as hard or difficult as what fellow practitioners who are wandering around the country face as a result of the persecution. These practitioners have no money, no home, it’s difficult for them to even feed themselves and get shelter for the night yet they are still participating in truth clarification projects. There are many such practitioners in China and they have been enduring this difficult journey for some years and face harder struggles every day.”

“However, even though those wandering practitioners are having lots of difficulties, what they face is not as hard or difficult as what those who have been thrown into jails face. Those wandering practitioners are at least free; they have the freedom to learn the Fa and practice the exercises. Jailed practitioners, on the other hand, do not enjoy such simple freedoms; it’s extremely difficult for them to learn Master’s latest teachings and to go online to visit the Minghui or Zhengjian websites. Those wandering practitioners can still contact local practitioners and have the opportunity to read Master’s new articles as well as Minghui Weekly or Zhengjian Weekly.”

“But, even though those jailed practitioners are struggling under tremendous pressures, those pressures are not as hard or difficult as those who have been detained in centralized camps in danger of live organ harvesting. Most of those jailed practitioners will eventually see the light and walk out of the prisons. Those practitioners who have been blacklisted for organ harvesting are really having the most unimaginable difficulties. It’s truly too difficult for them. The majority of those practitioners on the organ harvesting list are those who went to Beijing to clarify the truth right after the persecution, they intentionally discarded their identity cards and refused to report their names and addresses to the evil forces when they were arrested and put into the camps. It’s been more than ten years since the start of the persecution and these practitioners have had no chance to learn Master’s latest teachings. The evil Chinese Communist Party has still not stopped its inhumane live organ harvesting activities. It’s been so hard and tough for all these practitioners in danger of organ harvesting. They are having the most difficulties.”

After I finished my speech, all the practitioners started to cry. Later on, we agreed upon the plan and decided to carry it out no matter how hard it might be. My eyes are again filled with tears even now when I am writing this article.

In “Teaching the Fa at the 2004 International Fa Conference in New York,” Master tells us: “The evil will take advantage and cause trouble if you don’t coordinate and cooperate well. With a lot of the Fa-rectification things, it’s not that there is no way to do them. No matter how hard it is, there is a path for you to take, even though it is a fairly narrow one. You have to go down that path correctly, and it won’t work if you come up even a little short or stray a little bit. Nevertheless, there is a path for you. In other words, you need to go down it correctly. If you don’t, the evil that currently exists will take advantage of it and cause trouble. In fact what I’ve just been talking about is the question of validating yourself versus validating the Fa when you work together on something—that’s the issue.”

In “Teaching and Explaining the Fa at the Metropolitan New York Fa Conference,” Master also mentions: “It’s cultivation, so don’t be intimidated by difficulties. No matter what, no matter how hard it is, you are definitely able to come through on the path given to you by Master. As long as you raise your xinxing you can make it through.”

By following Master’s teachings, we can definitely overcome any hardships or difficulties. No matter how hard, there is always a way out for us as long as we put our faith in the Fa and in Master. Let’s always keep those wandering practitioners, those jailed practitioners, and those practitioners in danger of live organ harvesting in our minds. No matter how difficult what we must face is, it’s nothing when compared with the sufferings that those fellow practitioners are going through right now. So, whenever we are inclined to withdraw from difficulties, please think about those practitioners first.
