A Reflection on My Experience in Chicago

A Dafa Disciple

PureInsight | July 14, 2003

[PureInsight.org] Today I felt drowsy when I studied the Fa in front of the Chinese Consulate in Chicago, so I went back home and took a nap. But when I returned to the Chinese Consulate, I still felt drowsy when I studied the Fa. Even when I studied the Fa standing up, I again felt drowsy. Finally, I looked inward for the root cause of my drowsiness, and I quickly discovered that I had only done two of the three things that Teacher requires of us. I hadn't clarified the truth to sentient beings about Falun Gong today. No sooner had I started to pass out the first truth-clarification flyer to cars that paused in front of the Chinese Consulate than I became very clearheaded and alert. I finally enlightened to the Fa that it was very selfish of me to only do two of the three things that Teacher requires of us.

Next, I came to the understanding that, during the personal cultivation period (prior to July 20. 1999), a Dafa practitioner would be subject to sickness if he failed to conduct himself with Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance, whereas, during the Fa-rectification cultivation period, a Dafa practitioner that fails to meet Teacher's requirements will be subject to the old forces' interference. Troubles always seek those Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples who fail to do the three things well. As soon as I arrived at this understanding, I seemed to have heard the desperate voice of the old forces saying, "There's no room for us now. This person keeps distributing truth-clarification flyers. Even the drowsiness demon has no power over him/her."

Yesterday was Saturday when Dafa disciples around the world sent forth righteous thoughts together at three fixed times. Several times during the morning, there were large masses of dark clouds above, but it never rained. Apparently, our powerful righteous thoughts dispersed the dark, dense haze. Also, during the three hours of sending righteous thoughts, giant masses of ghost clouds, as if charged with rain and chilly winds, were hovering over our heads, but it never rained. In the end, the ghost clouds were defeated by our powerful righteous thoughts.
