The Other Side of Dawn

The calm

a long time coming

night darkest before the morn

as light

finds our horizons

on the other side of dawn.

Our hearts

called to something greater

from cloud to endless skies

a shroud

befallen our common shores

days blinded to the eye.

I see the wall and its writings

I see worlds again reborn

I see the light of new horizons

on the other side of dawn.

The song

of spring resounding

lotus into many a flower

seasons pass

this final winter fades

moving closer to the hour.

A storm

and bitter seas subsiding

nations rising from their fall

the truth

of timeless ages awaken

a voyage transforming one and all.

I hear the rise of tides now turning

I hear hope from times forlorn

I hear the flight towards new horizons

on the other side of dawn.

The Coming Dawn

Lotus in a burst of flower

hearts unto a greater Law

this dark of a closing hour

a promised light to the coming dawn.

Flags unfurl blood-red

skies under a spectre of grey

yet colours of new horizons unfolding

where a 'party' falls from its reign.

Calm finding seas subsiding

beyond the lie and the storm

this dark of a closing hour

a promised light to the coming dawn.
