[PureInsight.org] This is the seventh time that many Falun Gong practitioners have visited Geneva, Switzerland, which is the seat of the United Nations. Many Falun Gong practitioners had visited Geneva for the first time in 1998 when Teacher Li Hongzhi taught the Fa there.
Since the persecution of Falun Gong which begun on July 20, 1999, Falun Gong practitioners have come to Geneva each year during the annual session of the United Nation's Commission on Human Rights, which is held between March and April of each year. The purpose of their being there is to appeal to the United Nations to help end the persecution against Falun Gong practitioners in Mainland China.
Our first appeal in Geneva took place in 2000, during the 56th session of the United Nations Commission on Human Rights. At that time, practitioners who lived in Europe but were not citizens of European countries had to get a Swiss entry visa through France. Since 2001, European residents are free to travel inside Europe without a visa. Perhaps Master has opened a convenient door for European Falun Gong practitioners to go to Geneva. In 2001 alone, many Falun Gong practitioners from the UK went to Geneva twice to participate in public appeals calling for an end to the persecution. As of March 2004, certain Falun Gong practitioners may have been to Geneva as many as seven times since 1998 when Master Li gave a Fa lecture there.
Geneva's weather during March 2004 has been nice except for two days of rain after our arrival. On Monday, March 15, 2004, we held a parade on the convocation day for the U.N. Commission on Human Rights' opening session. That day the vast sky was blue, clear, cloudless and sunny. Falun Gong practitioners displayed huge parade banners saying, "Bring Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan, Liu Jing, and Zhou Yongkang, the major instigators of the persecution, to justice." I felt the parade this year was more righteous and solemn than ever. A fellow practitioner felt that we should use the battle between the righteous and the evil as an analogy for our public appeals in Geneva to end the persecution. In previous years, the evil beings from other dimensions would line up in formation, beat drums, and come in swarming hordes to Geneva to attack us. At that time, every Falun Gong practitioner felt the evil beings' ferocious attack when they sent forth righteous thoughts. But this year, it seems that the evil's army has collapsed and the overall environment has improved.
On Tuesday, March 16, 2004, when we promoted Falun Dafa in the streets of Geneva, we were met with many kind and warm people who are receptive to Falun Dafa. One could not help but feel nostalgic of those days before the persecution when we promoted Falun Dafa in Mainland China. We repeatedly demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises. When we were demonstrating movements from the first exercise of Falun Gong "Buddha Showing a Thousand Hands" such as "Maitreya Stretching His Back" and "Bodhisattva Placing Hands on the Lotus Flower," we truly felt as if we were Maitreyas and Bodhisattvas doing the Falun Gong exercises. After the tests of the past few years, I felt our mind nature as cultivators had become as tall as heaven and incomparably noble.
Fellow practitioners handed us printouts of Teacher's new article, "Eliminate the Dark Minions with Righteous Thoughts" on Tuesday evening. When we studied the new article, our attention was drawn to Teacher's reminder and repeated emphasis on the importance of keeping our mind focused when sending righteous thoughts.
Along with this, when you send righteous thoughts you need to have your mind be more focused, purer, and steadier, so as to mobilize your greater abilities, disintegrate all of the dark minions and rotten demons, and eliminate the final disruptions that are in other dimensions.

Since Teacher has made it very clear, we must make a special effort and do it well. The other day when we were sending forth righteous thought at the Human Rights Square in Geneva, a fellow practitioner saw with her Celestial Eye a swarm of shining little flashes of light darting around her knees that caused unbearable pain in her knees. It was so painful that she almost could not sit with her legs loosely crossed. Even though she was pregnant, she persevered in sending forth righteous thoughts until all the little flashes of light went away.
As Falun Dafa practitioners, I think we should not concern ourselves with the eventual outcome of this year's United Nations Commission on Human Rights meeting. Our mission and responsibility is to assist Teacher with Fa-rectification and offer living beings Teacher's salvation. We should do what Teacher requires of us. Everything else will then be a part of it.
Jiang Zemin, Li Lanqing, Luo Gan, and Liu Jing have been added to the RCMP's (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) watch list. "If anyone on the list attempts to enter Canada, a prompt investigation could take place, potentially resulting in refusal of visas to Canada, cancellation of their Canadian citizenship, deportation, charges and punishment based on Canada's laws governing crimes against humanity and war crimes." (From "Canada's List of Responsible Parties for Persecuting Falun Gong Increases to 45 People") Jiang Zemin is Chairman of the Central Military Commission of the Communist Party of China. Luo Gan is Secretary of the Political and Legislative Affairs Committee of the CPC Central Committee. Liu Jing is Deputy Minister of Public Security Department and the Chief of the "610 Office." Wu Guanzheng is member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and secretary of the Shandong Provincial Party Committee.
