An Inspiration from a Dream

A Falun Dafa Practitioner

PureInsight | April 5, 2004

[PureInsight.org] I had a dream where a team of two people and I each drove a car. They were driving a four-wheel drive jeep and took off first. As I tried to catch up with them, the road conditions deteriorated and I met up with bumpy roads. Then a ramp of one foot high suddenly appeared before me. I didn't hesitate or step on the brake but instead stepped hard on the gas and passed the ramp. Then I kept encountering more bumpy and dangerous roads but each time I would pass these obstacles by stepping on the gas and driving towards the obstacles. What is worth mentioning is of a thought that arose of how I should overcome my human notions as I was challenging these obstacles on the road. The scenes from the dream kept appearing in my head after I woke up.

I feel that when I encounter roadblocks on my road of cultivation that seem impossible to overcome, it is often my notions that are the real obstacles. These notions restrain me from using my full potential to overcome the obstacles in my cultivation. I believe that each Dafa disciple in the Fa-rectification period should be capable of doing the three things that Teacher requires of us and each should use supernormal abilities to assist Him with the three things. When we are free from the restraints of our notions, we should be able to clarify the truth, reveal the facts of the persecution and save sentient beings with a pure mind, and the road should always be clear and smooth ahead of us.
