You Are Hot, but I Am Hotter Than You

[PureInsight.org] Long Ji is almost 50 years old. However, his dark hair and fresh and young looks make him appear as someone with the age of 27 or 28. People who knew him in the past remember he used to have a miserable look about him.

Not long after Long Ji was born, was the communist movement called the Great Leap Forward, a man-made disaster that lasted three years. Many people died of hunger, and Long Ji almost starved to death, too. An elderly Chinese medicine doctor saved his life. Nonetheless, without enough nutrition since birth, Long Ji had poor health and was often ill. He often caught colds one after another.

Out of the four seasons, Long Ji was afraid of summer the most. The hot summer often made him dizzy, and he vomited, had difficulty breathing and was physically weak. He often suffered from heatstroke and felt dizzy even after just reading for a while. This lasted more than 10 years. He visited many Chinese and Western medicine doctors. All of them said that because of his nutrition deficiency as well as his poor digestion and absorbing ability, medicines could not help him.

One day, someone introduced Falun Gong to him. He tried it and felt very good. Pretty soon, he felt energetic all over his body. Later, he went to Dunhuang City in Gansu Province on a business trip. It was in late August and very hot. During those days, he was walking outdoors all day long on the burning sand. However, to his surprise, he did not feel any discomfort. Later, when reading the section, “Transcending the Five Elements and the Three Realms,” in Zhuan Falun, he understood it. As a practitioner who cultivates according to the universal principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, his body is constantly being transformed into high-energy matter. You (the weather) are hot, but I am hotter than you. That is to say, cold and heat in the everyday world can no longer bother a cultivator.
