Space, Microscopic Particles, and the Buddha Fa Divine Powers

A Dafa Disciple

Before cultivating Falun Dafa, my understanding of space was limited to this three-dimensional world, consisting of length, width and height, which is visible to our flesh eyes. While studying in graduate school, I once came in contact with a multi-dimensional theory, which consisted of explorations into explaining the supernormal capabilities of the human body and some phenomena in Qigong practice. But it was very difficult for me to imagine what multi-dimensional spaces were.

However, when I finished reading Zhuan Falun, just like a blind man who has recovered his sight, I suddenly found the answers to many questions that I had heavily pondered for many years. To take space as an example, it is written in Lecture Two of Zhuan Falun that: “Microscopic particles of matter include molecules, atoms, and protons. When investigating further to the end, if you can see the plane of each level instead of a point and see the plane of molecules, the plane of atoms, the plane of protons as well as the plane of nuclei, you will see the existing forms of different dimensions. […] When our modern physics studies particles of matter, it only studies a microscopic particle through analysis and fission. After the nuclear fission, it will study its configuration. If there were such an instrument through which we could see such a level at which all atomic elements or molecular elements can be entirely displayed or if such a scene could be seen, you will reach beyond this dimension and witness the real scenes existing in other dimensions.”

The “Lecture in Sydney“ further points out that, “Our human race lives in between these two kinds of particles of planets and molecules. Molecules are made of atoms, then what is the dimension between atoms and the molecules like? Modern scientists can only understand an atom as a point, one of its small structures. In fact the place where atoms exist is also a plane, and the physical dimension formed by such a plane is also quite huge. It is only that what you have discovered is a point. Within this plane then, how big is this dimension? […] Mankind just exists on this plane of molecules, just like a 3-D painting. You live on this plane and you cannot escape it. […] The earth is orbiting with great regularity. Then, what difference is there between when electrons revolve around the nuclei and when the earth revolves around the sun? They are of the same pattern. If you could magnify an electron to the size of the earth and take a look at it, you'll see if there is life on it. What kind of matter is there on it?”

Before, although I had studied physics and chemistry, I had never thought about space from this angle. Yes, if we humans live in the space between planets and molecules, then aren’t the spaces between molecules and atoms, and between atoms and electrons, other dimensions? Therefore, there are many different dimensions existing at the same place and at the same time, aren’t there? This is not the same thing as the multi-dimensional space that I couldn’t understand before; but it describes even more perfectly the form of multi-layered dimensions’ existence.

If space is in the form of multiple dimensions, then what will the living beings be like? What kind of life exists in other dimensions?

The human body is composed of molecular particles. If there truly are kinds of life with bodies that are composed of atoms or of particles even more microscopic than atoms, then how much force and divine power might these kinds of life possess?

In the dimension where humans exist, the majority of forces that act between material objects are physical forces while most changes are chemical changes, namely, the re-configuration and re-combination between molecules and so forth. People who have studied chemistry know that the forces acting between molecules are very weak and can be easily broken. I, however, the energy stored in atomic nuclei is released, the impact is enormous and not something in the same order of magnitude as chemical reactions at the molecular level. That is why atomic bombs have such powerful killing capability.

If a life itself is composed of such microscopic particles as atoms, then how much power would it possess? If we understand the capabilities or Buddha Fa divine powers as those that higher beings possess, the answer is thus very easily found. Beings composed of more microscopic particles live in other, more microscopic, dimensions, and the power and capabilities they possess are at a totally different order of magnitude. That is why it is possible that “A Buddha is mighty capable. He could wipe out all the human illnesses by waving his hand just once.” (From “Hospital Treatment and Qigong Healing” in Lecture Seven of Zhuan Falun)
