My Understanding of Fa-Rectification - Part 2

A Yu Feng

In my presentation at the April, 2000, NYC Fahui Experience-Sharing Conference, I talked about the Yellow Liquid Drug (YLD with its “magic” effect on pulling teeth, as mentioned in Zhuan Falun). Some practitioners are still interested in this YLD. Along this line, I am going to discuss a little bit more of my personal understanding here.

In fact, my intention in touching upon the YLD was to facilitate our thinking by way of this medical example and to try to bring out better ideas from others in all scientific fields. In the future there will be a whole set of integrated new sciences, in accordance with our Teacher's saying that future mathematics/ physics /chemistry /etc. may be developed from an alternative perspective than that of conventional modern science. Thus, the overall subject can not be explained simply by using just the YLD example alone.

In ancient China, there were The Book of Changes (I-Ching, Zhou Dynasty, 1100 BC-221 BC) and The Eight Trigrams (Ba Qar, diagrams from prehistoric times for disclosing the changes in the course of nature), as well as various fortune-telling techniques. Those were derived from the differences in time in the various spaces/dimensions and allowed one to calculate and predict results for events and/or people. Specifically, only if we grasp the time difference in another space/dimension compared to this surface space/dimension, can we then do some calculations and predictions. (There is more than one other space/dimension.) Can modern science/technology do this? Can it grasp and utilize the various spaces/dimensions and times? The answer is definitely “No”. The ancient science/technology really had some of the right stuff of high tech. 'Ancient Chinese science focused directly on the human body, life, and the universe' as it took a different approach [than that of today – Tr.] to break through to the other spaces/dimensions. Is that not high tech?

So, isn’t all of this having something to do with mathematics? Yes. It's the ancient math, the math that connects all spaces/ dimensions, a well-developed science. On the other hand, modern math and science are ridiculously infantile but people still laugh at the “dumbness” of the ancient times. It is not so strange why it is this way. The degree of development of science/technology varies directly with the overall moral level of the human society that produced it.

Teacher says that in the future society, fortune telling, fengshui (Chinese geomancy), healing illnesses, and the like will still exist as worldly sidetrack practices. Therefore, my mentioning them here is not deviating from the general direction. But we should not study those things now. One reason is that they have been distorted and are not accurate in the present. Also, we should not be diverted by those trivial techniques but should focus on raising our Xinxing (mind/heart nature). Otherwise, all will be in vain for our cultivation practice. Another reason is that what is going to be in the future will be after Fa-rectification. However, these examples can stimulate our minds and broaden our thoughts.

In the other areas of physics, chemistry, and similar fields, as well as the liberal arts, languages, and so many other things, the differences between the ancient forms and those of the present or those of the future are similar to the above-mentioned examples. So I am not going into further detail here.

Master says: 'If human beings are able to take a fresh look at themselves as well as the universe and change their rigid mentalities, humankind will make a leap forward.' The rigid or hardened mentalities come from western empirical science. If people adhere to the theorems of empirical science, then all the warped things cannot be changed or straightened out. This is just like the logic behind healing: a genuine practitioner is not being healed but rather his/her body is being purified as long as he/she relinquishes the attachment or concern for illness.

One has to forsake rigid concepts in order to transform one's thought so that one’s state of mind (or rather Xinxing) matches up with the universal principles. Then it will be possible for changes to come to him/her. Of course it will take some time for processing this kind of transformation. But I think we need to take action now. The progression of Fa-rectification covers all areas as parts of an integrated process, and does not just apply to or attack any specific area.

At first we Dafa practitioners should transform our thoughts. Then and only then we may invent something or discover some new phenomenon in the lab or in our research. Since everything is based on Dafa (the Great Law), so we should use supernormal principles to explain supernormal phenomena. Gradually we will have more and more pioneers covering a wide-open range of all fields. Then this New Science will replace the warped science. The rigid mentalities of human beings will be changed and so humankind will be able make a leap forward. These efforts will lead to cosmic change that will totally transform the misshapen civilization. By that time, everything will be changed/rectified or eliminated according to its position.
