The Homecoming

Somewhat of a foundling until
the age of two, invited then into a
shelter of strangers. Provided with
necessities, though devoid of
meeting minds. Restless for brighter
skies, a moment where wonder
might peel from behind the shadows,

while this child remained shrunken
into a room, cold and crying silent
for a means of escape.

…Knowing of another something.

Between a sense of wakefulness
and hours brimmed with so-called
learning… All the lesser terrors of
life when walking no path, yet, aware
if only a whisper of "The Way." Nights,
reveries carrying me into worlds of
beauty, merged there with water,
moving free from care and wingless
days. Memories finding gentle flight,
earthly, yet, a time beyond.

…Dreaming of another something.

Summoned by words of philosophers,
sages who dare to break the mirror
of all that shies into the mundane.
A myriad of voices sharing realms,
glimpses of a more robust light.
Volumes later, until some golden
weave soon emerging.

Now Dafa has touched my heart
and being, "The Way" offered again at
last! Transforming, all encompassing
and nothing near compares… A
clarion, no shelter of strangers, just
one boundless Law and my
homecoming journey.

…Embracing this other something!
