[PureInsight.org] Recently, The New York Times has published a series of articles defaming Master and Shen Yun. This is a carefully orchestrated event, with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) serving as the mastermind behind it. The old forces have used infiltrators among Falun Gong practitioners to systematically undermine the practice and the practitioners’ faith.
Some practitioners are confused, wondering why such events are occurring in the U.S. at this stage. Personally, I believe that the situations we encounter reflect our own attachments. We should seize this rare opportunity to rectify our thoughts and actions according to the Fa, aligning ourselves more closely with the Fa and becoming part of the Fa.
When Master is attacked or even sued, practitioners must firmly defend Master and the Fa. At the very least, we should keep this principle in mind. The great trial in the universe has already begun—many beings have entered the stage, the judges have arrived, and more lives are in the process of entering. I feel anxious because so many human attachments remain, and the three things that Master has asked us to do are still not fully accomplished. What should we do? My approach is to let go of my notions of time and to cultivate steadfastly, rectifying myself through practice while entrusting everything to Master.
Practitioners around the world should take this opportunity to unify their hearts, merge into the Fa, and return to their rightful places within Master’s body, connecting our gong to form a whole. We sincerely ask for Master’s support. When we do this, no tribulation is insurmountable—we eliminate evil interference, save sentient beings, and demonstrate the compassion of practitioners assisting in Fa-rectification.
Nine years ago, two events left a deep impression on me.
The first occurred during a global righteous thoughts session. With Master’s support, the hearts of practitioners merged into one, rotating continuously in the air and shining brilliantly from afar. Although some black spots were visible up close, much of the impure material was eliminated as the hearts merged.
The second event took place in a small Fa-study group where, before sending forth righteous thoughts, we asked a nine-year-old practitioner to observe what was happening. As we sent forth righteous thoughts, the hearts of those present lit up and merged, spinning continuously, growing larger and more radiant. The energy expanded worldwide, forming a massive field—demonstrating the immense power of unity.
This recent incident does not surprise me. It is part of the cycle of formation, stasis, degeneration, and destruction—at the final stage, many beings behave in this way. Additionally, Master’s scripture The Ordeals Our Spiritual Discipline Faces has already informed practitioners about this. Why do some longtime practitioners engage in acts that undermine the Fa? Master has explained this many times, and true practitioners understand. How do we recognize those within our group who are influenced by negative forces?
I am sharing some of my experiences as a report to Master and as a basis for discussion with fellow practitioners.
Years ago, I participated in a project focused on sending forth righteous thoughts. Many challenges arose—deviation from the Fa, interference, purging evil, writing articles to expose issues, and resisting disruptions. Yet, with Master’s guidance and the Fa, we carried out our responsibilities. Why did we face such large-scale interference while doing what Master asked? Because our group was specifically focused on sending forth righteous thoughts, and we had a clear awareness of situations in other dimensions—knowing which abilities to use, what Fa tools to apply, and which beings to request for assistance in eliminating evil. Our group size varied between 10 and 30 practitioners, and we observed that some practitioners around us had made agreements with the old forces and were carrying out their assigned roles.
Following Master’s guidance, we approached these challenges with tolerance, patience, and broad-mindedness, avoiding hatred toward fellow practitioners. While sending forth righteous thoughts, some practitioners interfered. Yet, we did not yield to genuine evil and instead eliminated many dark forces, including a nine-headed red dragon. Many black-handed spirits were eradicated. When we recited the nine-character mantra, beings in other dimensions that refused to align with it were unable to remain. Some practitioners’ worlds crumbled like sand when their xinxing did not meet the required standard.
One practitioner witnessed this and asked us to stop reciting the mantra, concerned that some practitioners’ worlds were constructed with Master’s help. However, we continued, knowing that as long as practitioners maintained their righteous thoughts, their worlds would be instantly restored.
We were aware of practitioners around us who had made agreements with the old forces and understood their roles within that structure. This did not prevent us from cultivating alongside them; some even joined us in sending forth righteous thoughts and knew things that others did not.
On multiple occasions, when a group of seven or eight of us recited the mantra, our celestial bodies ascended, layer by layer, beyond the Falun World. However, if a practitioner’s mindset wavered, they would immediately descend. Two practitioners had a significant negative impact, yet we held no resentment toward them and treated them with compassion. Their jealousy rendered them irrational. Master enlightened them, pointing out that they were focusing on others rather than on the Fa, and they recognized this. Obsessed with supernatural abilities, both were eventually seized by the old forces and cast into hell. With Master’s help, we rescued them and cleansed their bodies, although they did not express gratitude. Now, one of them is deeply disturbed by interference and has essentially stopped practicing.
These experiences have made me realize the importance of completely rejecting the old forces. The persecution arranged by the old forces cannot be changed by human means; what matters is whether we acknowledge or reject this persecution.
Master said in Teaching the Fa at the 2004 Chicago Conference, “Of course, we don't acknowledge any of the things that the old forces arranged--I as your master don't acknowledge them, and Dafa disciples of course don't acknowledge them either.” “We negate even the very emergence of the old forces and everything that they've arranged; we don't even acknowledge their existence. We're fundamentally negating all of their things, and all of, and only, the things you do while negating and getting rid of them is mighty-virtue. It's not that you're cultivating amidst the ordeals they created. Rather, you are to walk your own path well while not acknowledging them, not even acknowledging the elimination of their ordeals' manifestations. (Applause) So looking at it from this angle, what we need to do is completely negate the old forces. Dafa disciples and I don't even acknowledge the manifestations of their last-ditch efforts.”
I now understand that only by fully rejecting the old forces can one be a true Falun Gong practitioner. A longtime practitioner, manipulated by the old forces, was engulfed in Party culture and lost control of himself. Outwardly, he still went through the motions, but inwardly, he was aligned with the old forces. I once saw him being pulled into a Falun while the beings in his world, heartbroken, scolded and hit him. He knelt in despair. Yet, in the human world, he continued fulfilling his old-force-assigned mission. When we were persecuted, he was abandoned by the old forces and died in misery. Many practitioners tried to help him, but to no avail.
I have seen fellow practitioners suffer from illness, mental decline, and hardship. In every case, we must look inward rather than blame external factors; I remind myself always to search within.
Now, as the evil forces in the U.S. target Master with legal action, all practitioners must act. We must completely reject the old forces’ arrangements, maintain faith in Master and the Fa, and firmly defend Master. No matter where we stand in our cultivation, this may be our final and greatest opportunity. We are the guardians of the Fa in this world. When Master is attacked, and when Shen Yun—created by Master—is defamed, how can we remain indifferent? We must defend Master and the Fa through legal means, Western values, and sound human reasoning. Meanwhile, other practitioners should clarify the truth and send forth righteous thoughts.
Master stated in Teaching the Fa at the 2016 New York Conference that sending forth righteous thoughts is essential for clearing out negative elements within ourselves and externally. When we do this, the Fa itself determines what is eliminated.
Viewing difficulties with righteous thoughts is crucial. Seeing tribulations as opportunities for growth accelerates progress in cultivation, while treating them as mere hardships leads to suffering and weakens our faith.
This is my personal understanding. If anything is not aligned with the Fa, I humbly ask fellow practitioners to correct me.
