Historical Tale: Peng Zhengkai Building His Home

PureInsight | March 26, 2006

[PureInsight.org] Peng Zhengkai
lived in the township of Wuzhong during the Qing Dynasty. When he was
building his home, he learned what he was planning to build would
damage the fengshui of his
neighbor to the east. So he asked the carpenters to cut 3 feet off all
the major columns in his house to lower the ceiling, hence preserving
the fengshui of his neighbor.
Because of the low ceiling in his house, the house looked much less
attractive than what it could have been and was no longer a grand
estate.

Several decades later, Peng Zhengkai became a government official with
the highest rank. His neighbor to the east eventually sold their house
to the Peng family. Both he and his wife lived to be 90s. Their son
Peng Zhiling later became the Prime Minister of the country.

A piece of property with good fengshui
always ends up in the hands of someone with great virtue. Those who
don't have enough virtue won't be able to own property with good fengshui. Even if they manage to purchase the property, they will not be able to hold on to it.
