Man and fish

[PureInsight.org] One day I had a strange thought when I was watching people fishing: What is the difference in nature between man and fish? Men sprinkle fishing crumbs or use earthworms as bait. And fish want to eat and think they are smart. It turns out that they are only being used for fun or to become people's food. The human world is a nest of emotions and a big angling pond with fame and wealth being used as bait. Since ancient times, people who seek fame and fortune do not end up well.
Zhuangzi grasps the truth

One day when Zhuangzi went hunting, he saw a bird circling in the air. As Zhuangzi watched closely, he realized that the big bird was focusing all its attention on an oriole. The oriole was staring at a mantis. The mantis was slowly inching towards a cicada. Zhuangzi was frightened when he realized what was happening. He discarded his bow and arrows and dashed home. He confined himself to his house for several days.

Zhuangzi grasped the truth: Those who scheme against the lives of others have their own lives already being schemed against. The guilty are always punished and the kind-hearted are always rewarded under the law of heaven. This law is manifested in all living beings and in every single thing, every thought, and every word and deed.
