Behind These Walls

Behind These Walls

Behind these walls

of cold and grey

crimes under a bitter silence.

Hours crouching

sleepless nights spent standing

the 'party' unbridled

cultured in violence.

Forced into labour

for one's right of belief

nameless and tortured

can you hear their calls?

Made in China

from blood and tears

countless thousands remaining

behind these walls.

(For the myriad hearts, practitioners
of Falun Gong and other prisoners of conscience, who have fallen and
those who have been tempered through the injustice and brutality of the
laogai system under China's Communist regime

Brighter Days

I see your face

behind the walls

I hear your cries

and silent calls.

Beyond the darkness

and those vicious guards

our hearts are one

shining and never apart.

I see their crimes

behind closed doors

I hear their lies

and shameful laws.

Beyond the 'party'

and its brutal ways

our lives like the sun

finding brighter days.

(Dedicated to all of the countless
thousands of Falun Gong practitioners and other prisoners of conscience
who are still being imprisoned and persecuted in China for their
peaceful beliefs
