[PureInsight.org] May 13th is Falun Dafa Day, a day of universal celebration around the world. With utmost reverence, I write down my personal experiences, witnessing the greatness of Falun Dafa, and expressing my gratitude to Master for his compassionate salvation.
I started practicing Falun Dafa in March 1996, and it has been more than 30 years since then. I am now an 89-year-old woman. It is thanks to Master's protection that I have come this far. I feel from the bottom of my heart that I am incredibly fortunate, proud, and glorious to obtain Master's Dafa.
I. In the Early Stages of Obtaining the Fa, Master Opened my Celestial Eye
Not long after I started reading Zhuan Falun, Master opened my celestial eye. The book described a large eye blinking in the section on The Issue of Celestial Eye, and I truly felt it. Moreover, when I meditated, I saw countless stars in the sky—red and green—it was so beautiful! I asked the people around me, "Look at all these stars!" They said, "No, we don't!" I also saw bunches of green grapes in other dimensions, beautiful flowers, grass, and trees, fairies flying, and the spinning of large and small Falun—it was incredibly beautiful. The words in Zhuan Falun changed color and moved; even the punctuation marks moved… This made me truly realize that Zhuan Falun is not an ordinary book, but a heavenly book.
Through studying the Fa, I have come to realize that Master’s teachings are a precious guide for cultivation. Since obtaining the Fa, I have read the book every day, striving to be a good person by following the principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance" and gradually letting go of various attachments. Throughout these years of cultivation, I have experienced great well-being in both body and mind and have benefited immensely.
II. Treat my Family Members with Kindness Using Falun Dafa in Family Life
Although I am nearly ninety years old, my hearing and eyesight are still good, and I can read at night without glasses. I can still do some simple housework, cleaning the house, washing underwear, mopping the floor, and cooking simple meals. I can take care of myself and am not a burden on my children. Moreover, I use the money I save to support my children and grandchildren, easing their financial burden and not letting them give me money. But my children and grandchildren are very filial to me, often buying me food and bringing it to me. They have witnessed the changes in my body and mind, and all support my practice of Falun Dafa. I often tell them the truth about Falun Dafa, urging them to always recite "Falun Dafa is good" and "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good," and I also often tell them true stories from Minghui.org. Through the stories I tell them, they offer incense to Master during festivals, expressing their gratitude for Master's compassionate salvation.
Once, my second son received a call from the community, asking him to persuade me to stop practicing Falun Dafa. He said to the community worker, "My mother's health is excellent after practicing Falun Dafa; she hasn't taken a single pill in years. Can you guarantee she'll be this healthy if you try to persuade her to give up Falun Dafa?" The community worker said, "If your mother continues practicing Falun Dafa, it will implicate you; it won't be good for you!" My second son retorted, "What! Are you going to punish my entire family?" He spoke with great authority. Upon hearing this, the community worker immediately hung up and never called him again.
My second son often carries a small gourd engraved with the words "Falun Dafa is good". His colleague asked him, "Why do you carry this?" My second son said, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is so good! It can keep me safe and turn bad luck into good. I think it's great."
A few years ago, my second son's workplace was downsizing. His position was one of two people left, and they kept him. Apparently, the person who was kept was a relative of his in the bureau, and even after asking around, they couldn't get him kept. It's truly a blessing from heaven for his support of Falun Dafa.
Through practicing Falun Dafa, I have come to understand the principles of the Fa, and I have come to let go of the things that were bad to me in the past.
The building I live in is very old; I've lived here since I was young. My elderly neighbor used to treat me badly, talking badly about me to others and often insulting me. I harbored resentment towards her for a long time. But after I obtained the Fa (Falun Dafa), I gave up all my resentment towards her. I thought that it was predestined for us to become neighbors, and I had long treated her with the kindness bestowed upon me by Dafa.
Once, when she was living alone, the thermos flask suddenly fell over while she was pouring hot water, scalding her foot and causing her to fall to the ground. When I found out, I prepared a meal and brought it to her and then asked my daughter to buy some fruit to visit her. She then told her children. Her children were very touched, saying their mother was fortunate to have such a good neighbor.
III. Diligently Cultivate and Save More People
Through cultivation, I am deeply grateful to Master for Dafa and to Dafa for the good health it has given me. I will strive to be more diligent so that more people know that Dafa is good and to save sentient beings. Whenever I have time, I go out to the streets and markets to tell predestined people the truth about Falun Dafa, and while I'm at it, I buy some groceries—sweet potatoes, pumpkins, corn, fruits, and all sorts of other foods. When I'm shopping, I tell the vendors about Falun Dafa. People often ask me how old I am, maybe seventy? I say I'm over eighty, almost ninety. I then tell people that Falun Dafa teaches people to be good according to Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The Communist Party's claims are all lies; don't believe in their nonsense. Only by withdrawing from the Communist Party, the Youth League, and the Young Pioneers, and believing that Falun Dafa is good, can one have a peaceful future.
After each time I persuade someone to quit the CCP, I carefully and meticulously write out the list so that fellow practitioners who type and publish the list can see it clearly. Over the years, I don't know how many times I have clarified the truth and persuaded countless people to quit the CCP, but I know deeply that all my truth-clarification and persuasion efforts are Master's help and blessing, and all of this is Master's salvation of sentient beings.
Once, I was telling a teacher the truth, and the teacher said, "I believe whatever you say, I'll withdraw from the CCP." Sometimes I encounter people who don't withdraw from the CCP and say unpleasant things, but I'm not swayed at all.
A few days ago, I went out and walked to the east side of my house. I saw seven or eight people sitting in the sun, so I gave one of them a "Fu" (good fortune) pendant that said "Falun Dafa is good." The person didn't want it. An elderly woman took the pendant from my hand—I had told her about the truth before—and said to everyone, "Why don't you want this pendant! It's so nice to hang it at home!" As soon as she said that, several other people came over and took it. I continued to tell them the truth. In the end, several people withdrew from the evil Party organizations and were saved. I told the old woman, "Your good deeds will bring you blessings!"
There are many more stories like this, and for me, a Dafa disciple, these are all my bounden duties and responsibilities. There's a saying that goes, "Master saves us, and we save sentient beings!" I can only do better in the future to be worthy of being Master's true disciple.
