Judging from articles on the Minghui web site during the last several days, I feel that time is really pressing.
A lot of people in Mainland China are still afraid to talk about Dafa. They know that Dafa teaches people to be good and benevolent. Many kind-hearted people can distinguish between good and evil, although they do not have a deep understanding of Dafa. I frequently see Falun Gong posters outside. Some Dafa students are resourceful and the places they have selected [to proclaim Dafa] are good. Many people can see the posters, while it is hard for the police to find them. Some posters can stay up for a long time. Whenever I see them, righteous thoughts spontaneously emerge from my heart.
A lot of kind-hearted people think that Dafa is good. However, it is very hard for them to understand the behavior of Dafa practitioners. They think these practitioners are looking for trouble. In addition, some think that the deeds committed by the head of the ruling party are merely done out of self-interest. If someone else were in his place, they would have have acted the same way. Therefore, his behavior is understandable. The real reason is that the people who have been deceived do not have a deep understanding of Dafa. Although banners and flyers can shock the evil to a certain extent, they do not help ordinary people very much. They cannot eliminate the confusion in their hearts.
I feel that if we can help an ordinary person gain a deeper understanding of Dafa, he will exert a beneficial effect in his community by helping others better understand Dafa. If we can really move one person’s heart, the effect may be better than distributing a lot of flyers. It is not enough to let them know the truth. We also have to make it possible for them to gain a correct attitude towards the truth. So we should try our best to help them understand Dafa and Its principles. If we cannot do that, we should at least get them to ask themselves: “Have I been told the truth by the government? Is my behavior right or wrong?” We should pay attention to how we clarify the truth. Hasn’t Master told us to clarify the truth with wisdom? Clarifying the truth in a mechanical way may cause an ordinary person to react negatively and think ill of Dafa.
Master is always teaching the Fa according to the specific conditions of the students. Whenever the students have a particular barrier in understanding a point or principle, Master changes his approach so that the students more easily accept what he is presenting.
We should also pay attention to this matter when clarifying the truth. Previously, I always picked out the parts that I liked or I thought were important, but it was hard for others to accept what I emphasized.
Recently, I spoke with one of my coworkers about Dafa. This time I asked him to express his own thoughts on the subject. I found out that his biggest barrier was that he did not believe in the existence of Gods, nor did he believe in the existence of other dimensions. I told him about Dafa in the context of science, and described to him the possibility of life in other dimensions using scientific language. He suddenly enlightened and said, “Wow, why didn’t you speak like that before? Do you speak like that to others? Don’t they think what you say is reasonable?” I was so happy that one life was potentially saved. However, I reflected on my previous actions, and found that the reason I did not explain Dafa well was that my understanding of Dafa was not deep enough. Although I felt very clear about many things, I was not able to explain them clearly. When I understood Dafa to a certain extent, I found that lots of questions could be answered with a few words. In addition, I previously spoke of what I thought to be important. I did not carefully consider other peoples’ misconceptions and barriers. In fact, the biggest barrier for a lot of people is that they do not believe in the existence of Gods. If this shell is not broken, it is very hard for them to understand Dafa and practitioners’ actions.
It is a pity that it is so difficult for ordinary people to have a chance to read the excellent articles on the PureInsight web site. Many students are also afraid that they will scare people away if they speak “too high,” thus overlooking their chance to guide people in this respect. In fact this is not necessarily so. I think the reason for speaking “too high” is that we do not understand Dafa deeply. If I thoroughly understand a question, I find answering it really simple.
Why can Master always explain a question clearly with a few words when he expounds the Fa to students and we never feel what he says is inconceivable? Why can’t we do the same for ordinary people? Isn’t it due to the fact that we do not fully understand Dafa or have not studied It thoroughly? If you can explain those parts of Dafa where an ordinary person clearly experiences a barrier, the effect will be good.
These are some of my thoughts , which I am sharing with fellow practitioners. Time is really pressing. Let’s use our wisdom and try our best when clarifying the truth. Never miss a chance.
