[PureInsight.org] I am twelve years old and have been cultivating in Falun Dafa for about five years. When I first started to cultivate, I encountered many tribulations and felt distressed. I would like to share some of my cultivation experiences. At the end of August 2003, I entered middle school. I was very excited about becoming a middle school student and imagined all sorts of wonderful things.

However, on the first day of school, I experienced some troubles. Some of the sixth grade students were very mischievous. As soon as I stepped into the cafeteria, a kid tripped me on purpose, and I fell to the floor. I was so angry with him that I stepped on his feet. Afterwards, I remembered that a Dafa disciple should treat others kindly, so I apologized to him.

Another incident happened during the first week of school. My teachers mispronounced my Chinese name. My primary school teachers had also mispronounced my name at first. It was no big deal to me then, but this was middle school. If someone makes a mistake in middle school, others will make a big deal out of it. When my new teachers mispronounced my name, my classmates teased me. I was upset at first, but I thought of a good solution. When a teacher mispronounced my Chinese name, I told the class my English name, Tony. Afterwards the teachers and classmates called me Tony.

One day, something miraculous happened. While I was sitting on a bench in the locker room to change my clothes for a sports class, Daniel, one of my classmates, tried to sit beside me. I told him not to sit there because my glasses were on the bench, but he did not listen. He sat on the bench, then quickly jumped up and ran away. I was about to throw a fit because I thought he had damaged my glasses when he sat on them, but I suddenly remembered that I would not be practicing forbearance if I lost my temper. I decided that this was a test for me, so I did not lose my temper. I knew I had passed the test. When I picked up my glasses, I found that they were not damaged. Instead they had been repaired. Before that incident, my glasses were a bit crooked. They had been bent the previous year when a friend accidentally knocked me down and caused my glasses to hit the floor. After Daniel sat on my glasses, the frame became straight again. I am now able to see better than before now that my glasses are no longer bent, so I should actually thank Daniel. After this incident, we became good friends.

I have learned from these incidents that good things will come if I cultivate myself according to the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. I try to do everything according to these principles. Although sometimes I do not succeed, I will try my best to improve my weaknesses and become a better Dafa practitioner.
