[PureInsight.org] On July 15, 2004, an art exhibition with the theme "Uncompromising Courage" was held in the exhibition hall of Rayburn House Office Building in Washington, DC. The exhibition ran on July 15th and 16th. Some of the artists were present to talk about how their works were produced, as well as the significance behind them.

According to the coordinator, Ms. Fan, this exhibition illustrates a clear contrast between compassion and evil that has emerged after Jiang Zemin launched the persecution of Falun Gong. Through their paintings the artists want to convey a message to people, that is, when the principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance" are persecuted, many ordinary people have become extraordinary because of their righteous belief and courage. In order to safeguard "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance", as well as uphold justice, freedom, dignity, and mankind's benevolent nature, these Falun Dafa practitioners have shown unwavering perseverance. With great compassion and forbearance, they are facing hatred, torture, and even death with courage.

All of the paintings are originals. Some of the artists have personally experienced persecution in labor camps in China. Those painful experiences then became source material for their artwork.

This painting exhibition was sponsored by the Falun Dafa Association of Washington, DC.
