Cultivation Diary: Mei Mei is Six Years Old

PureInsight | June 23, 2007

[PureInsight.org] It is a fine day - June 11, 2007.

Time flies. My daughter Mei Mei is going to be six years old in a few
days.  Two days ago, her teacher sent a note to us saying that she
wanted to have a birthday party for my daughter before the summer break
and asking us to prepare a birthday cake plus birthday presents to
share with her classmates.

I asked Mei Mei, "Would you like to give a Dafa bookmark to your friends?" She happily consented.

There are more than twenty students in the class and I looked
everywhere for bookmarks.  Fortunately I gathered them rather
quickly.

Mei Mei put the gifts, one Dafa bookmark and two different pieces
of candy, into nicely designed blue transparent gift bags yesterday.
There are twenty-two gifts altogether. Before she went to bed, she told
me again and again not to forget to deliver the gifts to her school.

When I picked her up after work today, she was extremely happy.
She said, "Our teacher wrote Falun Dafa on the blackboard and asked me
to pass out the gifts to my classmates.  Everyone hugged me." Her
teacher had received a bookmark with a lotus flower attached to it last
Christmas and now she can tell all her students about it.

I asked Mei Mei whether this is a routine for every birthday. She said,
"No, normally our teacher will pass out the gifts to everyone and
everyone will clap their hands.  However, our teacher wanted me to
hand the gifts to everyone, so everyone was especially happy." Of
course, these gifts are different: they are gifts from a little Dafa
disciple.

Looking at the beautiful smile on her little face, I remember the story about her.

She was born on July 2, 2001.  When she came into this world, she
did not cry but smiled instead. Because I love plum blossoms, I named
her Xiao Mei, meaning smiling plum blossom.  It was an awfully hot
summer when she was born. I often put her on the living room couch.
After a few days, I noticed that whenever she was awake, she tried hard
to turn her little head to one particular direction. I followed her
eyes and looked into that direction. I found that it was Master's
portrait on a table.  It was Master that my baby daughter tried to
see!

It is rather unusual in that Master's picture is quite small and the
vision of a newborn is really not that good.  I wondered whether
she could really see clearly. Perhaps, it was her sixth sense and I
cannot explain this with the medical knowledge I have.  I picked
her up and carried her to where Master's picture was.  She stared
at Master and her little month smiled widely.

When Mei Mei got older, she liked to attend the Fa conferences,
participate in parades, and pass out truth clarifying fliers.
During the parade, she liked to walk instead of sitting in a stroller.
At such a tender age, she seemed to enjoy hardships.

Mei Mei also likes to recite Hong Yin. When Hong Yin II was just
published, I taught her older brother to recite the poems.  She
was playing by our side and suddenly she could recite the poems faster
than her brother.  She was only three years old then.

Whenever we had fresh fruits or a delicious dish, Mei Mei always
offered them to Master first. Her two little hands joined together to
Heshi respectfully and then bowed deeply too.

Every time, I took her to the Fa conference, fellow practitioners were
astonished and said, "Is this the one you were carrying? She is so
big!" Mei Mei asked me curiously, "Mom, how come everyone knows me?"
Her father said, "Because you were spreading Dafa with your mother when
she was pregnant with you, so everyone knows you."

Well, they probably knew her earlier than that: fellow practitioners
knew each other long ago.  No wonder, whenever grown-ups asked Mei
Mei where she came from before she could talk, she always pointed to
the sky with her finger.
