Hold A Practitioner In High Esteem

A Dafa Practitioner

PureInsight | February 8, 2009

[PureInsight.org] There is a saying among everyday people that, “After a sage’s absence of three days, one will see in him a change for the better.” Sages have pursued high morality and spiritual enlightenment throughout the ages. Even if a sage is away for just three days, he has made progress in cultivating his character when seen again. Sages are human beings. The requirements for Dafa disciples who are cultivating at this time are even higher than those for sages of the past.

Cultivators do make mistakes. Yet, for those true practitioners who are able to remove their attachments and bad habits, the progress is quicker and the improvements are greater. Therefore, we should let go of a practitioner’s mistakes or wrongdoings from the past. Also, we should not hold onto any bias or judgment about a practitioner who has made a mistake. Otherwise, it will lead to a barrier that interferes with the cooperation between practitioners. Even more seriously, it can create a huge obstacle to one’s own personal cultivation.

Fa-rectification has reached the vital stage of saving sentient beings. Trust and cooperation between practitioners is now crucial to success on the path of cultivation. We must regard all practitioners with our righteous thoughts. We must learn to appreciate the ways and understandings of other practitioners. A Dafa disciple has the opportunity to cultivate himself every minute and make progress every day. Even if he or she is away, one will continue to become a better practitioner.
