The Way of Home

[PureInsight.org] It was early winter and the wind was chilly. While walking in the wind, I couldn’t help covering my neck. The sunshine was like a special reward from heaven. I walked out of the shade of the trees and stepped into the sunshine. Immediately I felt warm all over my body. I stood in the sunshine for a while, looking at the cars and people passing by. I no longer felt lonely, which I usually felt after being busy all the time even when in the end I didn’t know what I had been busy with.

I recalled the program “The Poet's Vision” from the Shen Yun show two years ago. The poet saw fairy ladies while he was in a half awake state. The fairy ladies were so close to him but he couldn’t touch them. Obviously, this would leave him confused when trying to work out whether what he had experienced was reality or just a dream.

In the past, no matter how small I was, I always distinguished myself from others intentionally. I would think of some new ideas to make me stand out. I knew many other people were also like this. Just like the principle of gravitation in physics, or this theory or that theory in ideological circles, people have tried to induce theories about the unlimited unknown future from their limited knowledge.

However, the history of human beings was predestined to be a tragedy. It’s like ants building their nest generation after generation. Eventually wind or rain destroys the nest. When do human beings control their own lives? Even in this era with science and information developing at a rapid pace, people’s souls wander further away from the truth. People always test the “principles” defined by them or those left by wise men at the cost of blood and tears. Later, they feel cheated and then learn their lessons through negative experiences.

With China existing as it is today, and future generations treating Marxism-Leninism as their ancestors, we all know this nation has fallen into a deep sorrow. With the rapid development of abnormal science, people are becoming more lost.

When looking at those dispirited poets and philosophers who pondered the truth their whole lives but only touched the surface; when looking at peasants who work so hard for barely enough food, lovers on the square or elderly people waiting to cross the street, it appears the Creator leaves people various forms of life as well as the suspense of life. If one can’t understand the true significance of life, all the ups and downs will end in loneliness. One can’t take anything with him when he dies. Where is the end of life? People can only guess whether the end of life is another new beginning.

People only take vague interest in these kinds of thoughts. Few dare to explore the truth on a deeper level, and those who did explore this area of thought were not understood or accepted by ordinary people. They either disappeared or lived a low-profile life in an unknown place. For example, Einstein, the famous physicist, discovered a more advanced science, but it was beyond the reach of his wisdom. Other than showing respect, he couldn’t express anything else. I think he already knew that human beings didn’t have enough wisdom to explore the mystery of life and the universe. Those of Einstein’s findings that the world could accept were within the limits of ordinary people’s wisdom at the time.

Another example is Socrates, the renowned Greek philosopher. In fact, his thoughts were humanized by people. He was a prophet and his wisdom was endowed by gods. He could communicate with divine beings in higher dimensions. He knew that the principles in the human world were under the control of higher principles. He knew where the end of one’s life was.

Through cultivation we know there is another type of wisdom beyond this physical dimension. We know so little about that wisdom, just like how little we know about our souls. However, it is everywhere. We call it truth. This truth controls everything and also measures the direction of human beings.

Master said in Zhuan Falun, “What is the Buddha Fa, then? The most fundamental characteristic of this universe, Zhen-Shan-Ren, is the highest manifestation of the Buddha Fa. It is the most fundamental Buddha Fa. The Buddha Fa manifests different forms at different levels and assumes different guiding roles at different levels. The lower the level, the more complex. This characteristic, Zhen-Shan-Ren, is in the microscopic particles of air, rock, wood, soil, iron and steel, the human body, as well as in all matter. In ancient times it was said that the Five Elements constitute all things and matter in the universe; they also carry this characteristic, Zhen-Shan-Ren.” Master uses common words and profound Fa principles to reveal the universe’s mysteries that so many people have tried to find the answers to in the past.

If one’s life is just like being lost in a dream, if one’s coming here is only to find the way back home; when Satan deceives our eyes and blocks our way by flowers and thorns, can we still keep our last hope, under the guidance of our own true self, push away the fog and find the direction home?

My friends, I am already walking on my way back home. How about you?
