A Few Thoughts on the German Language

Masculine, feminine and neuter are three different genders in the German language. However, often, the meanings of the words do not seem to conform to their linguistic genders. I was seriously wondering where the genders of those words came from when I was learning German before. Recently, through learning the Fa, I became abruptly aware that lots of the genders of the words do not relate to the things the words indicate in our dimension, but reflect the truth in other dimensions. For example, the sun is blazing in our dimension, but the German word (Sonne) is feminine in German. “Many people who possess the supernormal powers have observed the sun. After gazing at it for a while, they find the sun is no longer hot; then, they find it’s black; and then they find it’s a cool world. In this material world it appears like this, but in another material world it is not like this.” (From “The Degeneration of Mankind and the Appearance of Enlightened Beings” in Zhuan Falun Volume II) Let me take “water” as another example. People tend to think of it as feminine; however, the word Wasser is neuter in German. That is because all the substances that people have known, no matter whether masculine or feminine, were made from water. “In other words, everything of this dimension that people consider to be an organic substance actually originates from the water of this dimension. This means that water forms and creates everything. So let me tell you: So-called inorganic substances are in fact created by water of a higher level.” (From Lecture at the Conference in Switzerland)

The structure of Chinese characters can be explained by Yin Yang and the five elements. These direct one to the truth they represent. As a matter of fact, ancient German is the same. At a certain level, it reflects the truth of the things in other dimensions. As a consequence, however, of unfortunate changes that have occurred over the course of history, people can scarcely experience the truth of them. Thus, ancient German has become more and more difficult for people to grasp, and so the language was changed and reformed. As the language has become warped, one result is that human beings have gone further and further away from the Dao.

In fact, it has happened to many other languages in the world as well.

The language of every country contains the substances of the cosmic body that it corresponds to. It is easy for people to learn their own language because their beings possess the same elements as their language does. But it is very difficult for them to learn the foreign ones because they do not have those elements.
