[PureInsight.org] During the long holidays of China's National Day on October 1, 2005, Falun Gong practitioners in Hainan Island distributed and posted a large amount of Falun Gong truth-clarification materials and hung Falun Gong banners in residential areas and public places in order to clarify the truth about Falun Gong and save the local people. In addition, they hung a banner with the message, "Only When the Chinese Communist Party Is Over Will There Be a New China," inside Evergreen Park (or Wanlu Park) in Haikou, Hainan Island. Evergreen Park was the very place where the Chinese police had illegally arrested about 400 Falun Gong practitioners while they were peacefully practicing Falun Gong exercises there on August 8th of 1999. The banner has caused panic in Hainan's Public Security Bureau as well as the local government. It has also raised the awareness of the people in Hainan.
