[PureInsight.org] Shen Yun Performing Arts performed for a full house in the Milwaukee theater in Wisconsin on February 20, 2013. Audience members included Westerners and Chinese people.

One audience member, Mr. Chen, a U.S. Government worker, commented that he had been attending Shen Yun performances since 2008. “I’ve watched the show more than five times. The show is very good, excellent! So I’ve brought my nephew to watch the show with me.”

Mr. Chen’s nephew, Mr. Li, a college student visiting from Europe had only been in the United States for two weeks. He reported that he barely ever attended shows in China, but enjoyed Shen Yun. “I like the last dance of the first half most (The Tibetan Dance For The God s), and the dance Thirteen Monks Protect King of Tang” Mr. Li also expressed,“The dance movements which concern Falun Gong are very good.”He explained that this topic was discussed among people his age. They gave warm applause to every part of the program.

Another student named Mr. Pan asserted that attending the show was very worthwhile. A visitor from mainland China, he had met several other Chinese Americans who recommended the show to him that very morning. While he mentioned that he rarely attended shows in China, he liked all the dance movements within the program, especially, “The Journey To The West.”

Shen Yun purifies the soul
Another audience member, Mr. Yu, from mainland China recalled the first time he had seen Shen Yun ads in Chicago and went to watch the show. He commented, “I was amazed as I watched the show, I really felt my soul was being purified.” He said,“I am inspired with enthusiasm after watching Shen Yun. I sense that the five thousand years of Chinese culture has an age long history, and that we should live into our Chinese traditional culture. We should treasure every minute in which to disseminate the five thousand years of our traditional Chinese culture, in order to improve our level of culture and to truly allow our culture to thrive in the world.”

Mr. Yu felt that the CCTV Spring Festival Gala in mainland China was very vulgar and boring in comparison to the Shen Yun performance. He had been living in the United States for more than a year and had seen a Shen Yun DVD in China. This was his third time to watch a Shen Yun performance and he appreciated seeing the show live. He said,“We Chinese people are persecuted by evil. Shen Yun cannot be seen in China, and this is regrettable. I will watch the show any chance I get. I will never tire of seeing Shen Yun.”
