Newspaper Le Figaro Changes its Tone

A Dafa Disciple

[PureInsight.org] There is a wonderful relationship between France and Falun Dafa (also called Falun Gong).

A well-known prophecy by the famous French seer Nostradamus in "Centuries" wrote:
The Easterner will leave his seat,
To pass the Apennine mountains to see Gaul:
He will transpire the sky, the waters and the snow,
And everyone will be struck with his rod.

On July 5, 1994, two French men came to the Dalian Falun Gong class in China. The younger man had a child with a strange, incurable disease; the other man was his father. They requested to meet Master Li Hongzhi, saying that their god had sent them there to get help for the child. The seven or eight year old child was not able to talk and was bedbound.

In 1995, Master Li was invited to France and held a report meeting at the Chinese Embassy. Most of the participants were embassy staff members. Later, Master Li Hongzhi lectured in Paris, for the first time overseas. It began the spread of Falun Dafa internationally.

It is never easy to spread the righteous Fa. Christianity experienced three centuries of persecution; Buddhism went through persecution five times.

Another prophecy from Nostradamus:
In the year 1999, in the seventh month,
from the sky will come the great King of Terror,
bringing back to life the great King of the Mongols.
Before and after, Mars to reign by good fortune.

The persecution of Falun Dafa in China was launched by the Marxist (Mars) successor Jiang Zemin. The slander has poisoned people worldwide. Le Figaro for one, has been deceived and exploited.

Le Figaro, the largest circulation newspaper in France, was founded in 1825 and holds 180 years of history. The newspaper took the name from the comic opera Le Marriage of Figaro, the most famous opera of Mozart. It was adapted from a play by Pierre Beaumarchais. It is also one of the most frequently staged comedies in major opera houses worldwide.

On October 25, 1999, Le Figaro published a story saying that the Chinese Communist Party leader Jiang Zemin, Chairman of the People's Republic of China and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, had said in their interview publicly that “Falun Gong is a cult”. The articles caused uproar worldwide.

Three months earlier, on July 20, 1999, Jiang Zemin had launched a persecution on Falun Dafa practitioners in mainland China. Numerous offensive and discrediting reports appeared across TV channels, newspapers, and radio broadcasts. Companies and neighborhood committees began to force practitioners to give up their faith. Public security police and the armed police began arresting and detaining practitioners. It was more like a reproduction of the Cultural Revolution or the Nazis era.

Jiang Zemin’s words in Le Figaro had even confused the international community. Is the Chinese Communist Party persecuting innocent people once again? Or is Falun Gong really a problem? On July 21, 1999, the CCP’s People's Daily published a commentator's article to nationally spread Jiang Zemin’s fabricated slander. It gave the biggest excuse for the unwarranted persecution. This unprecedented persecution involves hundreds of millions of Falun Gong practitioners in China. Millions have been thrown into labor camps and tens of thousands have been sentenced; Homes have been broken into; Practitioners have even had their organs forcefully harvested while still alive.

Seventeen years have passed. Tens of millions of practitioners in China have insisted on keeping their faith in Falun Gong, with its principles of "Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance". Newcomers to the practice constantly increased during the persecution. Overseas, Falun Dafa has spread to 140 countries across five continents. People of different cultures, color, nationalities, and classes have become practitioners. It is a miracle in the history of human culture and religion. Additionally, nearly 250 million people have announced to quit the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations. And a trial is waiting for Jiang Zemin in the International Court.

On July 25, 2016, Le Figaro published an article called "Ninety-thousand illegal organ transplants have taken place in Chinese hospitals" (En Chine, 90 000 greffes clandestines font tourner des hôpitaux entiers). It cited the latest report by independent investigator and Canadian human rights lawyer Mr. David Kigour. It exposed the CCP’s live organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners and other prisoners of conscience. The sheer number of live organ harvests shocked readers.

Le Figaro has finally stood on the side of justice. Just like other worldwide media, they shifted from spreading the rumors, to silence, to eventually condemning the persecution.

Every person needs to position himself in this historic play. I hope everybody will have a happy ending after the disaster has passed.
