The petite middle-aged lady wearing the down jacket shown in the photo is a Falun Gong practitioner in Washington, D.C.

She is a volunteer at the Service Center to Withdraw from the Communist Party in Washington, DC. She was the first volunteer to arrive at the service center on that day. Before she had a chance to set up any visual or audio aide such as posters of the summary of "The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party" (or "The Nine Commentaries") or the MP3 recordings, seven Chinese tourists from Shanghai surrounded her. Just like in the old Chinese saying, "one man is able to guard the pass single-handedly," she bravely clarified the truth alone in a peaceful and confident manner to the Chinese tourists. More importantly, they each accepted "The Nine Commentaries" from her, and listened to her for a long time. In fact, the man on the right in the photo was reading "The Nine Commentaries."

As I witnessed the scene, I couldn't help but be reminded of one of Teacher's poems:

Fragrant Lotus
The pure lotus is born from Fa
Mercy spreads fragrant scent
And sprinkles sweet dew on the human world
The lotus blooms throughout the court of heaven
