Consider Ourselves as Divine Beings—Understandings on “Stirred by Reflection”

[PureInsight.org] Although Master’s new poem “Stirred by Reflection” only has eight lines*, I was deeply touched. For more than 10 years, the righteous thoughts and righteous actions of fellow practitioners have formed “A rainbow of colors.” In contrast, I could feel a big gap between me and other practitioners. Although I have been doing the three things, I tend to focus on the formality, with a strong attachment to accomplishment. Without a strong determination to cultivate xinxing and elevate myself, I am not a qualified Dafa disciple, let alone in a state where “One’s purity is seen.”

In the poem, Master mentioned “True thoughts,” “kind thoughts,” and “Righteous thoughts.” As Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples, our thoughts are very important. Then how do we have strong righteous thoughts? I often think about this question. In fact, Master wrote in “Greetings,” “Walk the last steps of your path well and with determination, study the Fa well, and, with a foundation laid by your having cultivated well, your righteous thoughts will naturally grow stronger and you will surely do well with what Dafa disciples are supposed to do.” (May 17, 2009)

Another understanding is to consider ourselves as divine beings. Master said, “Righteous thoughts each step of the way, Divine beings are present in this world.” I think that, as Dafa disciples, we should keep this in mind all the time. That is, we should consider ourselves as divine beings with divine thoughts.

When considering ourselves as divine beings, it is easier to break the shell of human notions. I frequently notice that human thoughts, which are in my bones, often surface unconsciously. With divine thoughts playing a dominant role, human notions will gradually weaken.

When considering ourselves as divine beings, we can handle thought karma much better. That is, with a strong main consciousness, we no longer blindly follow our thought karma to do bad things.

When considering ourselves as divine beings, we can discipline ourselves with divine criteria. We can always ask ourselves, “How would a divine being handle this situation?” Then we will be able to check ourselves with requirements at higher levels and gradually improve our xinxing.

When considering ourselves as gods, we can change the surrounding environment and do better in saving sentient beings.

When considering ourselves as gods, we will remember that “If thoughts are righteous, evil will collapse” (“What’s to Fear?”, Hong Yin Volume II). Then our truth-clarification will be more smooth.

When considering ourselves as gods, we will have strong righteous thoughts. Then Master will be able to help us with anything.

Therefore, during the final steps of Fa-rectification, let us consider ourselves as gods and fulfill our mission.
