Gratitude

A Falun Dafa Practitioner

PureInsight | January 19, 2002

A fellow practitioner called me to discuss how Fa-rectification disciples can do better during this special historic period. Before hanging up, I thanked her with sincerity. Unexpectedly, she didn't hang up. She said genuinely, "You don't have to be so polite to me. Why do you have to thank me? This is something every practitioner should do." I was very moved and told her, "I have truly thanked you with sincerity. Maybe, it wasn't that I am particularly grateful about how some other person has helped me, but I am most grateful to Dafa for bringing together all these people that otherwise wouldn't know each other. We are all helping each other, which in turn helps us reach a realm of selflessness. This is truly touching."

Some practitioners never say "no" to others when they are asked to assist with Dafa-related work. No matter how busy they are, they find the time to do it. Furthermore, they are usually able to do it very well. They say, "When others ask me for help, that's when they need help the most, otherwise they wouldn't have asked me. So how can I turn them down at this crucial time?" Whenever I hear this, I become very moved. This encourages me to cherish this extremely rare opportunity of being a Fa-rectification disciple even more.
