A Dafa Disciple

[PureInsight.org] Chinese leader Xi Jinping arrived in Washington on the evening of September 24, 2015. On the 24th and 25th, Falun Gong practitioners in Washington displayed banners with the words "Falun Dafa is good" and "Bring Jiang Zemin to Justice", outside of the White House and the hotel where Xi Jinping stayed.

Xi Jinping Witnesses “Bring Jiang Zemin to Justice” Banners

On the evening of September 24, Xi Jinping and his entourage encountered, three times, the banners reading “Bring Jiang Zemin to Justice”, which were held by Falun Gong practitioners. At 6pm on the 24th, Xi Jinping’s motorcade arrived at Marriott Hotel, located at Washington Wardman Park. Washington’s Falun Gong practitioners displayed banners in Chinese and English, saying "Falun Dafa is good" and "Bring Jiang Zemin to Justice", on both sides of the road leading to the hotel. The people in Xi’s car were all reading the "Bring Jiang Zemin to Justice" banner through the window.

Half an hour later, Xi Jinping and his entourage attended a private dinner at Blair House. Several people tried to block the “Bring Jiang Zemin to Justice" banner. Police promptly stopped them and asked them to back off half a meter, which resulted in Xi Jinping’s motorcade witnessing the banner up-close.

At about 10pm, Falun Gong practitioners were still standing quietly along the road, when Xi Jinping returned to the hotel. The white banner with black characters: "Bring Jiang Zemin to Justice" was especially conspicuous in the evening. This was the third time that evening that Xi Jinping had witnessed the banner.

Unblockable Banner

Falun Gong practitioner, Yu Jing, had just come from Hebei in China a few months ago. She had been illegally arrested three times in mainland China and nearly tortured to death. She said she wanted to appeal to bring Jiang Zemin to justice, when Xi Jinping’s motorcade was passing.

A policewoman warned those who tried to block the banners by using red flags, saying, “In America, everyone has the right to peacefully protest. You will be put in jail if you continue.” Another police confiscated a flag from one person and broke the flagpole.

The policewomen hugged Yu Jing and shook hands with her after listening to her persecution experience. Yu Jing said, “I am very touched to make my voice heard in a free country. I still miss my fellow practitioners in my hometown, because the persecution is still continuing. I hope to bring Jiang Zemin to justice as soon as possible to end the persecution. Then we may practice freely in China.”

Zhang Huidong, a Falun Gong practitioner from Dalian City in Liaoning Province, carried one corner of the “Bring Jiang Zemin to Justice" banner, while standing quietly for several hours between 5pm and 10pm on September 24. He said his mother and two sisters had been illegally arrested many times, brainwashed and had endured forced labor in the persecution launched by Jiang Zemin. His parents had passed away in the persecution. He was now disabled himself as a result of the persecution.

Zhang Huidong said he wanted to urge Xi Jinping to bring Jiang Zemin to justice and end the persecution of Falun Gong as soon as possible. The reason he supports eliminating the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is because he feels that as long as the CCP mechanism exists, the persecution will not stop.

Western Reporter: Children Can Learn a Very Important Lesson

Journalist Petra Socolovsky visited the scene to explain to her children the reason why Falun Gong practitioners were there. She also explained the persecution in China and why the people dressed in red had tried to block the Falun Gong practitioners' banners. Petra said, "This is a very important lesson for children. It’s important to show kids the scene because there aren’t enough reports from the media and we seldom talk about it. There is no freedom; no human rights in China. My two kids—four and nine years old—are old enough to understand the truth. I am a reporter. Everybody knows about the persecution of Falun Gong, and that there is no freedom of speech and belief in China.”

Falun Gong Practitioners’ Calm Rationality Triggers Interest

Nancy, an employee at the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), was deeply attracted by the Falun Gong practitioners peacefully meditating. She took pictures of them practicing the exercises.

When she heard about the persecution of Falun Gong in China, she said, "It’s their right to practice freely in their own country. In the U.S., people have the right to protest and express themselves. I can’t understand why the Chinese government persecute these people. I hope all media know about this and will spread the truth of the persecution in China as widely as possible.”

Two retired editors, formally from Baltimore Sun Newspaper, Larry Williams and Marsha Myers talked with practitioners after reading their flyers. Myers said, "They (Falun Gong practitioners) are very quiet; very peaceful." Some Western media also interviewed the practitioners on site.

Crowd Welcoming Xi Jinping Want Justice Against Jiang Zemin

During Xi Jinping’s visit in Washington, the Chinese government set up many overseas students and community organizations to welcome Xi Jinping. Some Chinese people agreed with the message on the Falun Gong practitioners’ banner: “Bring Jiang Zemin to Justice”. Some even took pictures in front of the banner.

Some international students got to know the truth by proactively talking to the Falun Gong practitioners. A student from Zhejiang said she was shocked to learn of the Tiananmen Square self-immolation hoax, since she had come to know about Falun Gong.

Washington DC Falun Dafa Association spokesman, Frank Lee said, "No debts without creditors; no hatred without cause. Xi Jinping didn’t launch the persecution. We appeal to him to bring the true culprit to justice. It will be good for all Chinese people."
