Random Thoughts in a Silent Night

[PureInsight.org] Numerous tiny lights are blinking this night.

The rain has stopped. The roads are still wet and the air is cold.

After a busy day, I look at the neighbors. Some families sit around the
dining table.  Some are having hot steaming tea. I can't help but
think of taking a brief break.

A cold wind blows over me. It raises many memories in my mind.

Prior to July 20, 1999, a group of practitioners would gather at the
square at 5 A.M. on the last day of each month. Many came from the
nearby counties. It was a very impressive and agreeable spectacle. It
shocked people. There wasn't any noise, only the exercise music
drifting in the air. A Falun Dafa banner and a golden yellow
Truthfulness-compassion-Forbearance banner hung on a big tree in the
front. After two hours of exercises, the group dispersed and everyone
left.

Eight years has gone by. The square has been deserted for the last
eight years. The happy time is just a memory. In its place is the
unjustified persecution: rumors, slanders, cancellation of group
exercises, forced statements guaranteeing giving up practicing,
confiscation of property, arrests, and imprisonment. Some have been
cruelly tortured, persecuted even to death. Some have had their organs
removed while they were still alive for huge profits. Such evil acts
make one's blood boil! When people are indifferent to such cruel
persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, is there be any meaning in
this world? Loss of material goods can be sustained by spirit. But when
the spirit is lost and people become indifferent and numb, what will
people depend on to survive?

Of course, there are still many people who do not know the truth. Many
have conscience and compassion. Many people are still waiting.

When I think of this, I pick up truth-clarifying material and walk out the door.

These tiny lights seem like the eyes of expectation!
